Thorin cackles as his brother is struck backwards, all the confidence in the world that it won't hinder Loki nor take him from the fight. So, he continues to battle through soldiers, throwing guns from their grip and laughing at their horrified and confused faces. What he doesn't anticipate is the launched head, colliding with his own and the sharp of the helmet cutting by his temple. It sends him falling backwards too. Clumsy but with all his strength into a group of soldiers, and now having to fight through them with one hand while the other clutches over his forehead. "Du er en idiot! Jeg kunne ha mistet et øye!" he bellows to Loki before his own words spur a thought and he laughs out like a maniac. "Like Odin! Ha!" he finds the befallen head, clutching it up and then dropping it to meet his boot in a swift kick that sends it back towards his brother. "Lillebroren min er forelsket. Og elsker hun deg!? Selv med det stygge ansiktet ditt?"
And then he hears a moment of realization strike Loki, and Thorin nods more dutifully even when he cuts through a soldier's neck and then another. He ends up with one on him, their hands around his neck which slows his use of blade. It doesn't quite stop him from slicing along flesh, hearing Loki relay Roan's request. A slight groan escaping him. "Vel, for helvete. Du burde ha nevnt før." he calls out, laughing as Loki considers the soldier in his hold useless now that blood gushes and the human is choking on his own tongue. Thorin head butts their helmet open so they can meet eyes, relishing in the fear and discomfort that he witnesses. "Not you. Bye." he says simply, plunging the edge of his blade to take its head from its shoulders. It's by chance that as the body falls, he sees wisps of blood soaked white hair run to the shadows. He's certain Loki must have seen her too, and the giant brother of hers. "There! Loki! Go, tell Cas how you want to make her an expert of your sword." he cackles before still promising a brother's oath. "I will remember about the two alive."
The Jansen brothers are a storm of fury, fighting beside one another and slicing through soldiers. But, they also clash with each other. Two storms meeting isn't uncommon, and Thorin’s words about Esje pierce Loki’s ears with a sting and make him lose his focus for a brief second. A brief second is all it takes. A soldier seizes the opportunity and slams into him, hurling the younger Jansen wolf backwards into the nearby truck. The door crumples under his weight, the window shatters from the impact of his head. A Loki sized dent in the metal now as he shouts out. But, his rage is not directed at the sudden disadvantage he faces. He roars in anger at his brother, ripping the soldier’s head from its neck and flinging it like a missile towards Thorin, watching the human head collide with his brother’s own. “Grow up!” he snarls viciously, retrieving his dropped sword. "Det er derfor de kaller deg harsk."
Loki decides then that no further comment will be made from him about Esje, or even her watchers for that matter. His eyes scan the chaos for any sign of her, but he quickly registers the large spaces within the camp. Roan's words returning to him. "Shit. Vi må holde to i live!" he announces, running towards his brother and punching a fist into Thorin's arm so they can find two soldiers together. "They have to be able to talk!" he shouts, eyes moving to the human in Thorin's grip, neck pooling with blood. "So, not him."

Angel On Fire - Chapter 18 - Laketown
Warnings: angst ; fighting ;
Pairings: Bucky Barnes X Reader ; Thorin Oakenshield X Reader ; Bucky X Reader X Thorin ; Marvel X Reader X Hobbit
Angel on Fire Master-list
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thor narrows his eyes at the blonde elf as he stands inches from him bow drawn back to fire. There was also a red headed female elf standing toe to toe with Loki. “You might not understand me, but we are not looking for a fight.” Thor pauses a moment as he holds his hands up in surrender. “I am looking for my sister. She’s about (Your height) tall, (Your H/C) hair.” The blonde’s eyes widen slightly and as he lowers his bow.
“I think he’s seen her.” Loki adds making Thor’s heart lift in his chest.
“Are you Thor?” The blonde elf asks and Thor nods.
“I am.” Thor removes his hand from his sword as he continues. “And you are?”
“I am Legolas, this is Tauriel, we are friends of (Name)’s. I am afraid you have just missed her.” Legolas adds making Thor mentally kick himself. “She disappeared with a group of escaped prisoners not long ago. We were just in pursuit of them.”
“May we accompany you?” Loki asks causing Legolas to nod. Tauriel sheathes her sword and without so much as a word turns and heads off into the woods with Legolas and them close behind her.
“Thor,” Loki says making his brother turn toward him. “What if she doesn’t want to go back?”
Thor pauses for only a moment his mind racing at the thought. He quickly starts moving again so he doesn’t lose his Elven guides.
“She belongs home, with us.” Thor answers.
“But we don’t have a home, not anymore.” Loki adds and Thor feels his heart clench.
“Then she belongs on Earth with us. This isn’t her world. These aren’t her people. You forget brother, we know how this story will end. I will not have her stay here and watch people she cares for die. Not again.” Thor concludes making Loki wince.
Losing Asgard had been hard for everyone, but no one hurt as much as (Name) did. There were many nights when Thor would hear (Name) crying about how it was her fault. How darkness and death followed her and claimed everything she loved and held dear. It wasn’t her fault, both Thor and Loki always made sure to remind her that it wasn’t. That she was an innocent person that bad things had happened too.
“I won’t let her stay, Loki. I can’t lose her too.”
“I know, Thor.” Loki adds as a silence falls between them.
Thor clenches his jaw and furrows his brow as he tries not to think about the battle that would soon come to pass. Hopefully, they would all be back in their world by then. Thor could only hope and pray.
“You’re not going anywhere.” Bard exclaims pulling me from my thoughts.
“What did you say!?” Dwalin retorts angrily.
“There’s spies watching this house and probably every dock and wharf in the town. You must wait till nightfall.” Bard adds making me eye him curiously. Hearing this, the dwarfs begin to settle down. I watch as Bard leaves through the front door his son close behind him. I feel someone sit close to me and I turn to see Kili grimacing in pain.
“Let me see it.” I say as I kneel in front of him.
“I’ll be fine.” Kili retorts trying to hide his wound.
“In my world, a wound that is not properly cared for ends up being a lost limb.” I pause as my words set in. “Now, let me see.” I chastise making him reluctantly show his leg to me.
Pulling the wrap back I narrow my eyes in confusion. I had never seen a wound like this before.
“Sigrid? May I have some boiled water and some clean rags please?” I ask Bard’s oldest daughter as I make Kili sit down on a nearby chair.
“Yes ma’am.” Sigrid replies as she hurries over to the fireplace where the cauldron is kept.
“That water didn’t help your wound.” I say to Kili causing his eyes to narrow at me. “Clean water and bandages will help for now. Since I’m not from here I’m not too familiar with your medicines, but you should really be at a healer.”
“After we reach the mountain.” Kili retorts causing my eyes to shoot up to his.
“Kili, with this wound, you won’t make it to the mountain.” I say low enough so only he could hear.
Before He has a chance to reply Sigrid arrives next to me with hot water and some clean tears of cloth. I thank her as I take one of the cloths and dipping it into the hot water try my best not to let them see me cool it slightly with my powers. Kili winces as the rag encounters his skin wiping the dirt and tainted water of the lake away from his wound.
I see him visibly relax the more I wipe the grim away. As I finish wrapping the last wrap of cloth around the wound, I hear Thorin call out for his kin to follow him, and my eyes narrow at him.
“Where are you going?” I ask pushing Kili to sit back down.
“To get real weapons.” Thorin replies and I scoff at them.
“You’re going to steal them? And how, pray tell, do you expect to escape once you have them?” I counter making him narrow his eyes at me.
“Now’s not the time for this. We need to reach the mountain.”
“At the expense of what? Your-” Kili grabs my hand making me pause. His eyes meet mine and I groan inwardly at the silent plea to not tell Thorin about the extensiveness of his wound. “Fine, fine, fine. Whatever, do what you want. Just know that you’re fucking up.”
~~~~~~~~
It is night at Laketown. The dwarves are sneaking through the town toward the armory, hiding from watchmen. I unwilling to leave Kili by himself for fear that his wound will get the better of him go along with them. We hide behind a boat as two watchmen walk by.
“Shh! Keep it down.” Dwalin whispers.
“As soon as we have the weapons, we make straight for the mountain. Go, go, go!” Thorin calls quietly as the watchmen disappear around the corner.
With the watchmen gone, Thorin points to Nori, who gets a running start and runs up a pyramid of dwarves who have pressed themselves against the walls of the city armory. He is able to get high enough so that he can reach a second-floor window and dive through.
“Next.” Calls Thorin and Bilbo does the same thing as Nori.
Soon, several dwarves, and I, are in the armory. We begin collecting the weapons stored there. Kili struggles under a load of several different weapons, and Thorin hands him another one.
“You all right?” Thorin asks him, his eyes examining his nephew.
“I can manage. Let’s just get out of here.” Kili replies making me instantly move toward him.
Thorin looks at Kili, then lays another sword on the pile Kili is holding. Kili starts walking down the stairs, but his wounded leg gives way, and he falls with a cry. The weapons make a terrible clanging noise, and the dwarves both inside and outside look around warily. In the distance, the watchmen cry out, and running footsteps approach.
“Kili!” I cry out as I rush down the stairs after him.
The dwarves still outside begin to run but are stopped by two watchmen pointing pikes at them. Bilbo and the dwarves in the armory grab weapons, but several other guards point pikes at them too. I feel Kili be pulled away from me and I look up to see, Braga, the captain of the guard, holding Kili with a dagger to his throat. Kili looks sadly and guiltily at Thorin.
“Take them to the master!” Braga orders as he yanks Kili to his feet.
“Hey!” I yell angrily as Kili cries out in pain. “Leave him alone!”
I grab Kili by the arm and giving him some support lead him after the guards. The guards lead us through the city until we are standing at the steps of what was supposed to be the master’s home. A sneaky looking man pokes his head out of the door to the master’s mansion to see the commotion. He sees the soldiers dragging the dwarves to the mansion, with multitudes of townspeople following behind. It is snowing a little.
“Get off of me!” I cry out as a man grabs my arm and tries to pull me away from Kili.
There is a lot of indistinct muttering and yelling as Alfrid closes the door and goes to get the master. Braga arranges all the dwarves under guard in the town square before the doors of the mansion. As the guards open the doors of the mansion, the Master storms out, still putting on his coat.
“What is the meaning of this?” A big grotesque looking man demands as he stands at the top of the steps.
“We caught ‘em stealing weapons, sire.” Braga announces.
“Ah. Enemies of the state, then.” The master adds making me narrow my eyes at him.
“This is a bunch of mercenaries if ever there was, sire.” Alfrid confirms as his eyes land on me.
“Hold your tongue. You do not know to whom you speak. This is no common criminal; this is Thorin, son of Thrain, son of Thror!” Dwalin yells out as he gestures to Thorin and Thorin steps forward. The crowd murmurs in amazement.
“We are the dwarves of Erebor.” Thorin announces the crowd whispers in shock and recognition, and people crane their heads to see better. “We have come to reclaim our homeland. I remember this town and the great days of old. Fleets of boats lay at harbor, filled with silks and fine gems. This was no forsaken town on a lake! This was the center of all trade in the North.” Thorin is speaking earnestly to the crowd, and the people nod in agreement. “I would see those days return. I would relight the great forges of the dwarves and send wealth and riches flowing once more from the halls of Erebor!”
The people cheer and clap, and the Master looks on, calculating. Suddenly, a voice calls out over the crowd, and Bard strides forward. “Death! That is what you will bring upon us. Dragon-fire and ruin. If you awaken that beast, it will destroy us all.” The people whisper anxiously.
“You can listen to this naysayer, but I promise you this; If we succeed, all will share in the wealth of the mountain. You will have enough gold to rebuild Esgaroth ten times over!” Thorin announces and I glance from him to Bard who wears a pained expression on his face.
The people shout in excitement, and they applaud. The Master looks on, smiling and nodding at this turn of events.
“All of you! Listen to me! You must listen! Have you forgotten what happened to Dale?!” Bard announces and I listen carefully. The people quiet down and shake their heads sadly. “Have you forgotten those who died in the firestorm?!”
The people shout, “No!”
“And for what purpose? The blind ambition of a mountain-king so riven by greed; he could not see beyond his own desire!” Bard concludes and my heart clenches for Thorin. As Bard and Thorin stare at each other angrily, the crowd gets louder, but then the Master steps forth.
“Now, now, we must not, any of us, be too quick to lay blame. Let us not forget that it was Girion, Lord of Dale, your ancestor, who failed to kill the beast!” The Master points accusingly at Bard, and the crowd begins to clamor.
As Bard looks away, Thorin looks at him in shock and anger.
“It’s true, sire. We all know the story: arrow after arrow he shot, each one missing its mark.” Alfrid adds and my eyes never leave Bards. Bard looks around as the crowd yells angrily at him. He then strides forward and speaks to Thorin earnestly.
“You have no right, no right to enter that mountain!” Bard concludes making my brow furrow in confliction.
“I have the only right.” Thorin states and I look down at the ground. Thorin turns and faces the Master. “I speak to the Master of the men of the Lake. Will you see the prophecy fulfilled? Will you share in the great wealth of our people?”
The people quietly watch in anticipation.
“What say you?” Thorin asks.
The Master thinks for several seconds, then smiles and points his finger at Thorin. “I say unto you...welcome! Welcome and thrice welcome, King under the Mountain!”
The Master opens his arms in welcome, and the crowd erupts in cheers. Bard looks on silently. Thorin climbs up a few steps and turns to face the audience; the people hug each other in excitement and joy. Thorin and Bard stare at each other. I move closer to Bard and gently whisper to him.
“Bard, I understand your fears. I know them all too well; but Thorin does have a right to reclaim his home. If it be possible.”
“He will release that dragon upon us, and none will survive.”
“I won’t let that happen.”
“You will be powerless to stop it.” He adds as he starts to walk away.
I glance at Thorin for a moment, whose eyes were focused on me, and then shaking my head hurry off after Bard.
“Bard, Smaug will come out of that mountain one way or another. Whether it be us entering the mountain or by his own hunger. He will emerge, and when he does where do you think he will go first? Yes, he’s been sleeping for years but how much longer will that last. I don’t want to put anyone in danger, but I know how much Thorin needs this. To be able to go home.”
“But at what cost?” he interjects making my breath catch. “Hundreds of lives will be lost to Smaug, not to mention all the others that he will seek out to destroy after he’s slaughtered us. I’m trying to do what is best for the people. Thorin is being selfish. I’m sorry, but I must see to my children.”
Without so much as another word he is gone.
I stand there conflicted in my thoughts. As someone who lost it all, I would give anything for the chance to be able to go back to Asgard and make it my home again. Was that selfish? I slowly walk back toward the master’s mansion. I find Thorin standing outside waiting for me.
“Where were you?” He asks and I let out a heavy sigh.
“I wanted to try to make Bard understand, but I ended up feeling more conflicted than before.” I answer honestly.
Thorin closes the distance between us and reaching out takes my hands in his. My brow furrows as I try to think of what to do.
“You’ve done more than enough.” He says and I let out a heavy sigh. “(Name), about leaving you behind. You must understand, I thought you’d be safer-”
“Don’t,” I interrupt making him stop. “Do not say that. You promised you wouldn’t leave me behind and then you did.” I state pulling my hands from his. “I cannot trust your words anymore.”
“Yet you still wish to journey with us to the mountain?”
“Yes! Because I gave my word.” I cry out taking a step back. “Thorin, I promised. I will see you all to your home,” I pause my heart clenching. “Then I’m returning to my world.”
With that I walked past him and into the manor where the rest of the dwarves were celebrating. I grab a tankard and make a beeline for a corner. I needed to be alone.
Will Continue in Chapter 19

Thank you, @smolestboop, for tagging me and saying so many kind words about my comments. I literally teared up and glued your post into my daily journal. It is nice to know my words, however mundane, mean something to someone. I am unsure if I count as a writer/artist/creator... Still, I can speak from my experience as a creator cheerleader from the sidelines.
I will mostly stick to the fandom interactions with creators from the Bagginshield fandom. Still, I cannot write such a post without mentioning my dear friend @belovedstill and discord queen @memoryshard.
Back in the day, when I was in the Supernatural fandom, I was obsessed with belovedstill fics. In the beginning, I mostly commented on her fics (and she even wrote a prompt for me) but after a while, we got to talking and became fast friends. To this day, my favourite fandom interactions remain us co-writing silly headcanons about our favourite spn characters. We even started a fic at some point that still makes me smile when I read it back however unfinished it may be. Every word in it is gold to me. I hold these fandom interactions, and those writings still close to my heart.
@memoryshard is the most chaotic writer and artist with the greatest number of plot bunnies I have ever met...if you want to build whole universes quickly, just spend one hour with Sam in a Discord chat. ;) Whenever I need a laugh, I read the funny Loki (TV) AU's we created by 'Yes, and '-ing each other and looking at the pictures she drew to illustrate these headcanons.
@smolestboop, I can only say that as much as you like reading my comments, I love reading your replies, especially if they expand on my silly headcanons on these two madlad middle-aged men. It brings me so much joy to see you on my dash.
@conkers-theficwriter I genuinely love reading your replies to my comments on your fics. But my favourite interaction will remain me expressing relief that Bilbo and Thorin were communicating in one chapter just to take it back in the next. It will remain one of my favourite comments ever made because I know how much it made you laugh. :D
Honourable mention to @lordoftherazzles who brings so many artists/writers/creators together and to the attention of fangirls like me every day due to her fandom projects. Without Razzy, I wouldn't have found many great people in the Bagginshield fandom. <3
Before this post gets too long to read let me tag some more people @morningnoodles @eliounora @verk0my @memoryshard, @belovedstill
Writers/artists/creators alike, I want you to share your favorite interaction(s) that you’ve had thanks to the wonderful things you make!
Tagging a few people to get the ball rolling: @sunnyrosewritesstuff @fantasyinallforms @starthecozy @its-atlass @conkers-theficwriter @consultingpacha @i-did-not-mean-to @lathalea @sotwk @myeaglesong @nocompromise-noregrets @mysandwichranaway @smoking-old-toby @smolestboop @smoothedsmoothie @scyllas-revenge @middleearthpixie @tetchy-frog @mrkida-art @niennawept

Hey guys
I just wanted to thank you all for your support over the last couple of weeks. The service was lovely on Friday and drama was kept at minimum for the day. She truly was an incredible woman. I’m still not doing great, I’m incredibly exhausted and drained. It’s certainly been a big emotional event.
In saying that, I will be returning to the blog, back to replying and the like. The queue is still very much active and going, so lots to keep looking forward to.
With all that, I’d love to bring back some head cannons again as just some silly little writings for when the days are feeling a bit too much. If anyone has any suggestions for fandoms, please feel free to send them through. You can find my original head cannons here, and I’d love to keep them the same sort of format. If you’re interested, a few more details below the cut.
As with my challenges, head cannons can be for The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Supernatural, Marvel, Dragon Age, The Witcher, Harry Potter and Star Trek. You can request one for a specific fandom, or for all of them.
These aren’t character specific, but lists may include the following characters below:
The Hobbit – Thorin, Fili, Kili, Dwalin, Bofur, Nori, Gloin (friends only), Frerin, Thranduil, Bard, Legolas, Bilbo, Lindir, Beorn
The Lord of the Rings – Aragorn, Boromir, Eomer, Faramir, Legolas, Gimli, Frodo, Merry, Pippin, Elrond, Haldir
Supernatural – Sam, Dean, Castiel, Crowley, Gabriel, Lucifer, Benny, Balthazar, Chuck, Garth, Mick, Gadreel, Charlie, Bobby
Marvel – Tony Stark, Clint Barton, Bruce Banner, Bucky Barnes, Steve Rogers, Loki, Thor, Peter Quill, Logan, Stephen Strange, Carol Danvers, Sam Wilson
Dragon Age – Alistair, Anders, Cullen, Morrigan, Zevran, Leliana, Fenris, Sebastian, Iron Bull, Dorian, Cassandra, Blackwall, Varric
Harry Potter – Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, Neville, Remus, Sirius, Fred, George
Star Trek (Newer Films) – Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty
The Witcher (TV Series) – Geralt, Yennefer, Jaskier
I’d love to get five or six requests as a start, and these will be posted outside of the queue.
Thank you all again.

Loki grins in response to Skoll's words, a mischievous reply eager to escape his throat. Yet, it's abruptly caught by Hati's caution. A reminder of their older brother's fragile state. Skoll's yearning to reunite with Nanna, and the thin thread of sanity tethering him to the present while she's gone. Loki, mindful of the fragility, decides to withhold his words about answers that are sought. Whether from the air, the gods or from within. "Jeg håper du snakket mer om meg enn Thorin. Og savnet meg mer enn ham også. Han er bare en skryt." Loki chides with a laughter.
Loki's grin, this time, isn't as genuine. It stretches wide over his lips, his head dipping subtly as he fixes his gaze on his brother. Like a wayward sprite caught in causing mischief, he chuckles with feigned innocence, a gentle sway shifting his weight from one foot to the other. "Men jeg liker å spøke. Jeg liker ikke å være seriøs." he utters coyly, the words hanging in the air like a playful dance. His brothers know him too well. Always laughing, always snickering, yet always meaning precisely what he says.
Skoll's question becomes a sudden gust through the school house and through Loki, stirring the dormant embers of grief. Though it was unreal and unnecessary, the grief felt raw, a phantom ache haunting him. "Jeg var forberedt på å se dere alle igjen i Valhalla," his voice, now shifts into a quiet and sincere note. "Og jeg var stolt av dere alle sammen. Nå kan jeg vel være stolt fordi du overlevde." Observing Skoll's reaction to Nanna's name, Loki makes a silent pledge to be careful when he utters it again. He nods, gently and his hand comes to his brother's shoulder in a firm and kind squeeze. "Selvfølgelig. Hver gang vi må dra, går vi sammen."

Snickering, Skoll shakes his head in a gesture filled with amusement. "Jeg prøver å. Men jeg har ikke alltid svar jeg liker å høre." he says, bubbly with light laughter. The oldest Jansen brother is radiant with joy as he looks at Loki, years melting away into nothing. "Jeg vet. Og det vet jeg at du ville. Vi snakket ofte om deg. Og Thorin også. Det føltes ikke det samme." Skoll sighs, knocking a fist gently into Loki's jaw. Gradually the old school house that they currently stand in has morphed and transformed in appearance. The scent of the wood is not quite the same as home, but it's close enough. There's already cracks and worn marks, runes and the soft clack of hanging bones that sway in the wind. It's close enough. And with each brother there, it's more than enough.
Loki's smile is caught, Skoll pointing at it with a sly look of his own. "Det er alltid derfor du er farlig, Loke. Folk tror du tuller for mye, er aldri seriøse." but Skoll knows better and keeps his gaze narrowed on his brother for another moment. Until he laughs again, brightly. Nodding, Skoll is happy to hear there's a lesson from the Gods that Loki could learn. It still doesn't bring him any closer to learning his own. Where is Nanna? Why did this have to happen? the words spin in his mind. "Hvordan føltes det å tro at du var den siste i live?" Skoll ignores them in order to focus back to the moment, looking to Loki with a caring concern. And he wishes to ignore them even when his brother utters her name again, Loki's voice amplifying the sound of whispers within Skoll's thoughts. It whisks through his mind in a whoosh, making Skoll wave a hand quickly as he huffs. "Takk, jeg vet. Jeg vet. Dere vil alle være gode mot meg. Det er fortsatt tid før vi drar noe sted."

Hello, again.
“We never broke up,” he stated.
I stared at my phone for a second then replied, “No? I guess we really didn’t.” I was stunned at that revelation. It was true and that probably explained why we still had such deep feelings for each other.
Years ago, no, more like decades, we were a couple. We were very young and life and times pulled us apart but we still managed to get together every now and then until he got really serious with someone else. That ended that or so I thought.
We still thought about the other all the time, especially in times of need when the world looked the most bleak. He said he had been searching for me for some time and had no idea where I was. That was until 10 years ago and I joined one of those social network sites and he had done a search for me again. Yep, he found me alright and we tried to make things work again but circumstances got in the way.
When we parted ways that time it was his insecurities and his jealousy along with our complicated lives of living so far apart and both of us having younger children, it was doomed to fail. Our last words to each other weren’t of a friendly nature and I thought he’d hate me forever.
Flash forward to a few weeks ago and I was thinking of him again.Something triggered a memory of him and I looked up his social network page. His page belied very little in the way of his personal life and I had no clue if he moved on romantically or not. I figured a man like him was a catch and surely some woman had caught his eye long enough to snare him. I had no idea.
I debated for awhile whether I should send him a message or friend request or what I should do. I had no idea if he still hated me or if time had changed things for him too. It had been 10 years and a lot can happen in that time.
I eventually sent him a friend request and he immediately accepted. He “waved” at me via a message and I waved back. It was simple. Then he started with small talk and eventually we got around to apologizing for what had happened 10 years ago and how we both felt at a loss afterwards. Neither one of us had bad feelings about each other as we both realized it just wasn’t going to work.
Our simple conversations slipped into more in depth catching up and then finally us both saying we still cared about each other. When he stated that we had never really broken up, it was stunning to realize that and explained why we still felt the way we did. Even through marriages to other people, divorces and kids, we still thought well of each other.
Now, well now we’re taking a slow path, possibly back to each other. We have plans to see each other in two months when I’m traveling to see my family and also see him. We’re not in a rush, no hurried actions, just lots of good conversations and lots of video chats, text messages and photos back and forth. We’re catching up once again and hoping for a brighter future.

Sigrid cracks a grin at that. "Like Cas' cousin." She imagines that wherever he is, he's managed to write storied songs of his travels and the war. There's a small part of her that's grateful he's not there to regale them with such songs, else they'd be stuck sitting around the fire for hours. And it's far too cold for that these days. Sigrid's brows furrow at the mention of Hel and she flinches a bit as the crackling resumes. "You're right. Freya would not use these devices to speak with us. Hel...she is Loki's daughter." Clever and tricky. Speaking to them in this manner suits the goddess of the underworld.
Her eyes widen when it replies back, "give it here," she demands suddenly, reaching for the device. "I want to speak to the gods!" Sigrid insists, tugging his hand closer so they can both speak into the small box. "Where do we–" can't hear you. She frowns, getting as close to it as possible, nodding at Thorin to press another button. "WHERE DO WE BRING THE WITCHES?" She shouts so they can hear her. The farm. "Of course. Perhaps she will require animal blood as well," she whispers to Thorin. Two should be enough. More crackling. Earth and water preferred. She nudges him to remember the detail. "WE WILL DO IT FOR YOU!" she yells to be heard again, straightening now that they've been given their assignment from the gods. An assignment worth listening to.
Thorin's gaze flicks among the strange noises whirling from black boxes. His frown won't budge into a smile either, deep and confused as he listens to Sigrid. "Why they trusted him I have no idea. He would have been a bard if he was born with us." he decides the vain-wolf's fate and history all at once, watching Sigrid with a watchful eye. Sword drawn in case something escapes from the boxes and attacks her while she whispers to the Gods. The name Freya pricks at Thorin's ears, his eyes shifting to the box. "No, it will not be Freya." because Freya walks among them already...but then again, the ways of the Gods are elusive to Thorin. She is powerful enough to be in two places at once, maybe? Taking the device, Thorin is hesitantly holding it towards his face and staring at the strangeness of it. "Maybe we are listening to the sounds of Hel, Sigrid?" he looks to the Varland and back again to the device as words swirl around in a crackle into the air. The word witches is repeated for a second time and Thorin franctically tries to press over the buttons. "Yes, yes! We have witches here! Do you need them?" Yes! "Oh! Sigrid! It answered!" Thorin jumps and the device flies out of his grip. He catches it again, turning it around to face him and he frantically presses over the buttons. "Okay! We will get them ready for you, Gods!"

All work and no play... makes me bored.
I'm Blue, been so for years! I'm going on 24, I started roleplaying in 2007. So that's, what, eleven years? I'm old. I very much prefer fandom roleplaying, however my vice is OCxCanon. I don’t know what it is about it, I just love doing it and seeing what my partners can come up with. I also love doing Alternate Universes! If you have an idea you wish to try then don’t be afraid to tell me!
Replying is a huge part for a lot of people. I try to match my partners’ reply, but my average is about 500-700 words. I would like the same to be on your end too. So, no one liners or have your side be about three paragraphs long then have my side only be like one paragraph. Yes, this means that I double. That is my only deal breaker, double or nothing.
I pretty much have no rules when it comes to the actual roleplaying. Go nuts on the plots, I can play smut without plot or with, those are my favorite. Then there's you the potential partner. I only ask to let me know when you are uncomfortable. I know I tend to spam, my internet connection is ridiculously bad. I live in the middle of nowhere Texas, thus the lowest speed possible. It goes in and out like a bad habit. If you haven't heard from me, I lost connection. I also ask to not force me into playing with you and respect my opinion. Both had been broken and I blocked both fools.
To my fandoms!! If you want to recommend anything, hit me up! I'm always looking for new fandoms!

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you’ve written, then pass on to at least five other writers (◠‿◠✿)
Oh, hi there! Thank you for the ask, anon ♥
I actually don’t have five fics started/completed yet, sooooo I’ll do it a little differently, if that’s okay
Prim’s Pick - A one shot I did for Bilbo and my OC, Primrose Fairbairn. It takes place during The Hobbit and ends at the beginning of Lord of The Rings.
The Lion’s Heir - The story I’m currently, slowly, working on. A Harry Potter story for Harry and my OC, Dorotea Snow. It starts at the beginning of The Order of The Phoenix and will go a little past the ending of the series. I love Harry Potter, hate Rowling, but I love Harry Potter.
Survivor - Despite the fact that it’s not written very well and has been on hold for months because I’m stuck and don’t know how to re-write it yet, and because there really wasn’t any interaction on it, I still love it and I still know exactly how it will end. It’s a Loki x OC who, as of now, is only known to the readers as “The Wailing Woman”.
And I know this makes four, not five, but here’s the one I’m the most excited for.
Azaghâl - A Hobbit story between my OCs Jon and Thrya, as well as Thorin and another OC, Belinda. Prim is also going to be in it as a background character who will occasionally be brought up. Everyone lives, no one dies, because I’m a happy endings kinda gal.

Thorin x reader - Make you whole
Part seven:
When you woke again, you changed and headed to where loud chatter was coming from. Walking in, you looked around and a familiar face was stood next to Elrond.
“(Y/N).” He smiled.
The room went silent besides the soft playing of music.
“Loki...”
You walked over but soon your ran and crushed him into a hug. Loki chuckled and hugged you back just as tightly.
“You’re looking much better.” He whispered.
“Your letter?”
“Ah Yes.”
Loki turned around and picked something up, when he showed you, a hand flew to your mouth as a chocked sob escaped you.
“We found it in his lab, we watched it. This ones for you.”
Carefully you took it and held it in your hands as you gazed down at it. You brought the red and gold helmet to your head and closed your eyes.
“Watch it.” Gandalf said.
Placing it on the table, you flicked the switch and the dwarfs jumped back in shock.
“What is that?!” Dwalin yelled.
“Be quiet!” Gandalf scolded.
The others crowded around to watch it with you, Thorin on your right with Loki on your left. Turning to the hologram, you watched as Tony sat on a chair with something in his hands. You recognised it as your necklace an you pulled it from your pocket.
“I don’t know what I’m supposed to say.” Tony laughed.
He took a deep breath and ran a hand through his hair.
“(Y/N), if you’re watching this... I didn’t make it. We knew this fight was going to end differently, you and I both do. Thanos... he’s powerful... we can’t fail.”
Tony stood up and grabbed a picture and shown it to the camera. It was you in his suit when you were only just a teen.
“I’m so proud of you sweetheart, you’re so brave and so strong. I couldn’t ask for a better daughter, we’ve been through so much, and I’m so sorry for when HYDRA got you, and I’m so sorry i wasn’t there enough.”
Tony sat back down on the chair and he looked straight at the camera with a sad smile on his face.
“I love you kiddo, remember that, okay? Remember that no matter what I love you and I’m always with you. I know I broke our promise, I know I left you, but I had to. Just don’t give up, please? Keep fighting, always keep fighting, you’ve got so much going for you. The necklace, it’s a suit like mine. Just press on the reactor and it’ll protect you.”
Tony looked down, you saw tears fall down his holographic face when he looked back up.
“I’m so sorry kid, I’m so sorry. I love you okay?” His voice cracked, “remember all the things we did together, and just don’t give up...”
The hologram flickered off and you fell to your knees with tears streaming down your face. Tilting your head back you let out an agonising scream. Loki sat down with you and ran his hand through your hair.
“Shh, it’s okay.”
“It’s... it’s not! Thanos... he.. Loki he... dad...”
“I know, darling, I know. I wish I could change the past but I can’t.”
Crying you clutched his jacket let out another heart shattering scream. Dwarfs and Elves alike had tears of their own at the sound of your broken screams and cries.
Thorin crouched down beside you and placed his hand on your shoulder only to have you shrug it away.
“Who or what is Thanos?”
You shuffled and wiped away your tears.
“It’ll be easier to show you.”
Standing up, you picked up the helmet and cradled it closely to your chest.
“Close your eyes of you want to see...”
Nearly every closed their eyes and you did the same, you allowed them into your memories. You showed them Wakanda, the battle that had happened there, you showed them Wanda nearly beating the purple giant. Steve and so many others.
The snap.
The aftermath.
You tinkering in the lab on your own, your dad returning, Clint returning. The happy moments with your family, and the avengers making their comeback.
You showed them the second time Thanos came around, Steve, you, Thor and Tony all confronting him. Your gold suit standing out on the dark field.
You getting thrown and beat until Dr Stange appeared. Everyone making their comeback, then Tony using the gauntlet.
“I. Am. Ironman.”
With this memory you slowed it down, you played it out to them like they were there.
“Dad?” You called.
With Steve supporting you, you limped over and dropped beside pepper and Peter. You frantically searched his face but you didn’t see anything, he seemed so hollow.
“No, no, no dad... dad look at me!” You pleaded.
His brown eyes connected with yours and you kissed his head before hugging his limp body. You clung onto him for dear life, as if somehow you could change his fate.
“We did it dad... you did it...”
He tried to reply but he couldn’t. His hand touched your arm and he gently pressed his head against yours, you hear him grunt in pain and it broke your heart even more.
“I love you dad...”
Pulling away, you watched as pepper said her goodbye and turn of his reactor. Standing up, you freed yourself from your suit and dropped to your knees, head turn to the cloud as you screamed.
Closing your memories again, you opened your eyes and looked directly into Thorin’s eyes. His blue orbs shone with sadness, pain and shock.
“Thanos plagued our word, he tried to destroy it... my dad... Tony... was it’s savour.”
Walking around him you stopped, turning to face the Norse god.
“Thank you...”
With that you left, you feet echoing down the hall as you replayed what your father had told you.
Don’t give up.
Keep fighting.
You would, you would keep fighting even if you didn’t want to anymore. You would keep fighting for him, you would help the dwarfs reclaim their home and you would give them something to smile about you even if you couldn’t anymore

He attempts to keep the brothers apart, Thorin's eyes shifting between Loki and Egil as the disagreement continues to swirl in the air. Of course their trickster named brother is only adding fuel to the fire, stirring the pot of shit and making Egil's passionate nature flare into full fruition. The weak apology brings laughter from Thorin but he meets the youngest Jansen's look with a shrug. "I would not accept it, personally." he agrees with the bemusement over Egil's expression, fighting his own chuckles. And then, even Loki's words make Thorin's mind click a few paces.
The mention of the Alfsson archer bringing a thoughtful frown to his lips as he looks between his brothers. He is truly sitting front row at this spectacle, watching the way Egil is also taken aback from the sudden statement. "You have to give him more information than that, Loki." he concludes, slapping Loki to the back and then the same to Egil. "But, if I were you, I would take her even if you do not want her before Loki's fingers have been in every pie." he offers the advise, impartial and fair of course. And then, like a flying arrow, Egil's reply comes and Thorin's gaze switches back to Loki with a profound grin. "Of course he loves her. Look at him. Eyes like a love-sick puppy. He could not even fight properly because his heart is now stupid. Or too much blood rushing to his cock." @rviner
"Oh no, it is the wrath of the tree-fairy." Loki jests, his laughter intertwining with the clash of steel against steel as if he's sharing the amusement with Egil even amidst their intense confrontation. He's nowhere near ready to offer a heartfelt apology to his younger brother, nor is he prepared to approach the situation with the gravity it warrants. Devilish cackles and mischievous grins continue and Egil's fury becomes a relentless force to contend with, and Loki finds himself dancing away from his brother's blade like never before. "Stand still!? Oh yes, of course I will just make it easy for you. Moron." Loki retorts to Egil's demand, his words laced with strained laughter. "I may be a dancing fool, but I am not a headless one." more laughter follows, the tension thickening as blades hover dangerously close to a brother's throat, each awaiting the bold move that will break the deadlock.
Egil's rage seems boundless and Loki grits his teeth as he struggles to defend himself. But he still can't control the urge to tease his brother, unable to suppress a strained chuckle as Thorin finally leaves his tree. "Ah, the fairy is here to grant us three wishes, Egil. What will be your first? Perhaps for Esje?" Despite being pushed away by Thorin, Loki's grin remains irrepressible. He brushes off Thorin's disapproving glare, waving a dismissive hand. "I wasn't even trying. Egil is the one who's emotions are getting the better of him." With cold blue eyes darting between his brothers, Loki lets out a resigned huff. "Fine." he announces, sheathing his blade with casual nonchalance. His hands rise in mock surrender. "I apologize if it upset you so profoundly, Egil. And, if it helps, I think you and Esje would have been rather sweet together." his lips curl into a smug grin, a cocky laughter chuckling out. "But, I have seen the Alfsson girl looking at you and you are so blind you have not even noticed. Do you not want her? Because I can see if Esje is ready to explore that side of pleasure too." @waterfallswords

Angel On Fire - Ch 12 - Fucking Spiders
Warnings: Fear of Spiders, Panic attacks, giant fucking spiders!!!!!
Pairings: Bucky Barnes X Reader ; Thorin Oakenshield X Reader ; Bucky X Reader X Thorin ; Marvel X Reader X Hobbit
(A/N) I know it’s been a minute since i updated, but with it being christmas i wanted to spend as much time with my family as possible.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chapter - 12
I smile softly at Beorn as I thank him for allowing me to use one of his horses. She was a dapple-grey mare named Sophie. I smile as I run my hand over her soft coat her head resting against my chest. She was a beautiful soul. Leaning my face against her forehead I take a deep breath and suddenly I am brought back to the stables of Asgard. The golden brick reaching even there making it a marvelous spectacle. My chest tightens at the memory of Surtur destroying it all. I feel her nose nudge me gently in the stomach pulling from my memory and I push the pain down.
“Are you ready?” I hear Gandalf ask and I nod. I look toward the woods and my heart soars in my chest at the possibility of meeting my brothers along the way.
“What makes you smile (Name)?” Thorin asks pulling me attention from the woods and towards him.
“The thought that soon I may be home.” I reply keeping my brothers a secret. Though I knew not why I did. I could tell Thorin and the rest of the company that somehow Thor and Loki had come for me; but something deep inside me told me not too. He offers a sad smile as he gently pats my shoulder.
“I hope you are able to return to your home. Though we will miss you.” Thorin says his eyes lingering on mine for a moment longer than he usually would have. He opens his mouth to continue but instead shakes it and offers me a stiff smile.
Before I have a chance to reply he has walked away from me and to his pony. I stare after him for a moment before Gandalf calls for us to saddle up and be on our way. I give a wave to Beorn and surprisingly he gave one in return. We are soon galloping over the fields the sound of Beorn’s roar echoing over them. In what seemed like no time at all we reach the forests edge.
I stare in concern as I feel the sickly aura it gives off. I didn’t know why; but something told me I shouldn’t go inside it. As the horses come to a stop the Dwarves dismount them and I find myself frozen atop my little mare, my hands clenching tightly to her reins. I hear Tony’s words fill my head about how Thor and Loki are here and somewhere in these woods and it makes me force myself to dismount.
I turn to Sophie and pulling the bit from her mouth I set the bridle upon the saddle horn and giving her a quick pat on the head let her turn and return to Beorn. I watch her run back the way we had come for a moment silently hoping she made it back safely. Then turning back to the woods, I reluctantly walk up to it and placing my hand on what Gandalf called the Elvin Gate feel a deep dread fill my body. There was something terribly wrong with this wood.
“Not my horse! I need it!” Gandalf calls as he exits the wood passing by me a worried expression filling his face.
“You’re not leaving us?” Bilbo says voicing our curiosity.
“I would not do this unless I had too.” Gandalf adds making me feel worry and fear fill my body. I turn back to the trees and gulping down a breath of air I walk over and touch a tree. I could feel its pain and sorrow causing tears to sting my eyes. What was going on here? I feel the tree shudder and I want nothing more than to wrap my arms around it and tell it everything was going to be okay; but, how could I?
“Come on, we must reach the mountain before Durin’s Day.” I hear Thorin call and I turn to see that Gandalf riding away.
I watch as one by one the Dwarves walk into the woods and follow the path. When it was just Bilbo and I, I wait for him to go in first before I follow after. I groan outwardly, displeasure clear on my face. We walk for hours and hours, along the path. We walk overnight, well at least it felt like overnight since no light was able to peak through the branches. The dwarves start to whine about the effects of the forest when finally, we come to the bridge. The bridge however is broken leaving no way to pass over it.
“We could try to swim it.” Bofur calls and my brow furrows at the thought.
“Didn’t you hear what Gandalf said?” Thorin starts pulling my attention toward him. “A darkness lies upon this forest; the waters of this stream are enchanted.”
“Doesn’t look very enchanting to me.” Bofur adds making me chuckle to myself.
“We must find another way across.” Thorin says causing us all to look around.
“These vines look strong enough.” Kili says as he starts to climb out onto them.
“Kili!” Thorin yells stopping the dark headed dwarf in his steps. “We send the lightest first.”
They all turn to Bilbo who realizes they mean him and he scowls.
“Wait,” I say against my better judgement causing them to turn to me. “I’ll do it.”
“What? No.” Thorin retorts making me roll my eyes.
“I know I’m not the lightest one here; but-”
“No (Name),” Bilbo interrupts pulling my attention towards him. “I can do it.”
I want to argue but he is already walking forward and climbing over the vines. He struggles a few times before making it to the other side. Before he has a chance to say that it’s okay the dwarves are already climbing across the vines like they are impatient.
“Stay where you are!” I hear Bilbo yell and as I look over at him, I see a look of defeat fill his face. I look back at the bridge and giving it another once over realize that I can probably make it if I jumped. Taking a deep breath, I ready myself and then running lunge across the opening making it safely across with no trouble at all. I make my ways down to Bilbo who looks groggy and a little lost.
“Are you okay?” I ask kneeling down beside him. He nods his head once as he blinks his eyes quickly. I go to say more when a figure land beside me. I turn to see Thorin had made it across. I want to tell him that something isn’t right but the sound of twigs snapping pulls my attention. I look into the woods to see a white stag appear and I feel my heart rise at the hopeful sight of it.
“What are you doing?” I hear Bilbo ask and I turn to see Thorin readying his bow and I narrow my eyes at him.
“Don’t you dare!” I warn him causing his eyes to find mine. “Let him go.” He opens his mouth to say something but the stag bounds away spooked by the sudden splash sound.
Standing, I turn toward the stream to see that Bombur had fallen in and I wince. This wasn’t good. As the rest of the dwarves drag him out of the stream I think back to when we entered the forest and I find myself wishing I has stayed with Elrond. Using fallen branches, they make a makeshift stretcher to carry Bombur seeing as he wouldn’t wake up. Placing him atop it I watch as Bofur, Dwalin, Kili, and Fili; all grab a corner and lift him up. Thorin calls us to follow him and taking a deep breath I bring up the rear as we start again through the wood.
~~~
The more we walked, the further we walked, the more I felt my head start to get cloudy. I look around at the rest of the dwarves to realize that they were feeling this weird sensation too. I stumble in my footsteps as a wave of dizziness washes over me, I would have hit the ground had it not been for the strong pair of arms that wrapped around my waist catching me.
“Are you alright?” I hear Thorin ask and I shake my head as I try to find my feet.
“It’s hard to breathe in here.” I say as he steady’s me.
“Let’s take a break!” Thorin calls out to the rest of the company. They all release sighs of relief as they welcome the breather. “Sit over here.” He adds as he motions me over to an uprooted portion of a tree trunk.
“I hate this feeling.” I say as I reach up to pinch the bridge of my nose. “Feels like when Amora used to try to play her tricks on me when we were kids.”
“Who’s Amora?” Thorin asks standing directly in front of me.
“A friend, well she was more my brothers’ friend, but we used to play together as children.” I add making him nod. “God, I wish I could think clearly.”
“I agree, is there no end to this accursed forest?” Thorin says making me chuckle to myself.
“I usually love the woods, but this place… this place confuses me.” I say as I start to hear whispers among the trees. “What is that sound?”
“What sound?” He asks reaching up to cup my face with his hands. “I hear nothing, what do you hear?”
“Voices…” I say causing his thumbs to rub my cheekbones therapeutically.
“I don’t hear anything.” He adds and I lean into his touch as my mind starts to slowly clear itself. “Feeling better?” He asks and I nod.
“A little, thank you.” I say my eyes meeting his. I am suddenly sobered by the hungry look in them. Clearing my throat, I reach up and pulling his hands from my face to hold them in my lap say, “Maybe we should check on everyone else.” He says nothing but gives my hands a quick squeeze before he pulls away from me to check on his kin.
I stare off after him for a moment, my eyes watching as he checks on each and every one of his company. Reaching up I run a hand through my hair as I try to clear my thoughts. I needed to focus on finding a way out of this forest and to where my brothers were. The quicker I escaped the forest the faster I could go home and the more likely that I wasn’t going to let myself acquire feelings for someone I couldn’t be with.
Looking up I see the sun trying to peak through the branches and glancing at Bilbo say, “Hey, wanna help me out?” I glance back up to the tree tops and following my gaze he replies, “We have to find the sun.” I nod as I look for a nearby tree to climb. He follows right as an argument erupts between the dwarves. I glance back at them for a moment before I shake my head and continue climbing, Bilbo close behind me.
It surprisingly doesn’t take us long at all to make it to the top of the trees. As our heads erupt from the darkness of the branches, clarity washes over me causing a bright smile to fill my lips. My eyelids flutter as my eyes try to adjust themselves to the light. When I open them, I see beautiful blue butterflies swarm around us as they lift off into the sky and I watch in wonder.
“I can see a lake!” Bilbo calls out and I follow his gaze to see not only a lake but the lonely mountain as well. “And the Lonely Mountain! We’re almost there!”
“I can’t believe we’re this close.” I say to him a chuckle escaping my lips.
“Can you hear me?!” I hear Bilbo yell back down toward our group telling them that we knew which way to go but we hear nothing back.
I go to say something when the sound of branches snapping in the distance pulls my attention. My eyes widen as I realize that whatever was causing the commotion was rushing towards us.
“Bilbo, lets get back.” I urge as we peek under the leaves towards where the noise was coming from. I narrow my eyes to try to see something when all the sudden Bilbo falls and I reach out to catch him only to now notice the plethora of spider webs surrounding us. Fear washes over me as I look at my hand to realize I was touching a spider web. I instantly jerk my hand away from the webs causing me to lose my balance and fall after him.
I try to grab onto anything as I fall but it’s no use. I continue to fall until I land on something soft and sticky. I look back to see what I had landed on to see that I had in fact landed in a web and I let out a loud scream. Heat covers my body as I try to free myself from the web’s clutches. I thrash around until I hear something to my right and turn to see a giant fucking spider racing towards me.
I scream again as my body moves on its own as fire erupts from my hand surging towards the spider wrapping it in flames burning it to a crisp, its cries filling the air.
“NO! NO! NO! HELL NO!” I cry as I burn through the webs and land safely on the ground. “NO ONE SAID THERE WAS GOING TO BE GIANT FUCKING SPIDERS!” I scream out to anyone who was listening as I start to run from a horde that was now chasing me. Fear overtakes me causing me to forget everything and just run. I didn’t know how far I had gone while doing so but by the time I realized the spiders weren’t following me anymore it was too late. I trip over a tree root and as I face plant against the hard ground.
I start to realize that my lungs were burning. I heave in and out as I try to fill them. Rolling over I stare up at the leaves as I silently start to chastise myself for running away. Reaching up I rub my forehead where it had smacked against the ground and groan. I had to go back. I had freaked out and left them all at the mercy of those things. What kind of person was I to do that to them?
Pushing myself up off the ground I stare back the way I had come. Biting the inside of my cheek I have a silent argument with myself about going back. I mean I had too. I couldn’t just leave them. They were in trouble… but there were spiders, big ones. “UGH! I don’t wanna do this.” I groan as I force myself to go back the way I came.
As I slowly walk back the way I had come my body starts to shake from the possibility of seeing more spiders. I clench my fists tightly as I try to force the fears out of my body. I knew I should probably be walking faster but I couldn’t seem to move my legs fast enough. Why did it have to be spiders? Why didn’t anyone say that there were giant spiders in this god forsaken place?
I continue walking until I start to see the webs again, then my body freezes on its own. My heart starts to race as I look around at all the webs. Taking a deep breath, I try to focus my mind on anything else as I force myself forward into the darkness. I cautiously walk through the webs making sure not to touch them as I search for Thorin and the rest of the group.
I come upon our abandoned gear and feel a sense of hope fill my body. They had to be somewhere close by. I start by looking up into the trees which was a bad idea as I see spiders hovering just above me and find myself frozen in fear. Reaching up I cover my mouth to hide the sound of my breathing. That and to keep myself from screaming again.
I watch as they slowly start to rush off into a direction a wave of relief washing over me. It was for naught as I realized I would have to follow them to find my friends. My heart races uncontrollably as it suddenly gets harder to breathe. I gasp for air as a panic attack starts to settle inside me. I couldn’t go after them.
How many more spiders would there be? I couldn’t just light them all up, I’d burn down the forest. What as I going to do? I couldn’t help them. As I struggle to breathe, I feel my legs give out from under me. black spots started to pepper my eyes causing me to cry out in pain. I hear something to the left of me and before I pass out, I see a bright light with something or someone in the center then everything goes dark.
